“성소수자 문화예술 창작자의 자긍심”

▪️ 서울프라이드엑스포는?

다양성, 포용, 자긍심, 사랑, 평등, 연대의 가치를 바탕으로 열리는 성소수자 문화예술 박람회입니다. 2015년 서울시청 시민청에서 ‘프라이드페어’로 시작해 DDP(동대문디자인플라자) 등으로 무대를 넓히며 규모와 콘텐츠를 꾸준히 확장해 왔습니다. 현재는 미술, 출판, 핸드메이드, 전시 등 다양한 창작 활동을 중심으로

성소수자 예술가들을 조명하며 공연, 영화 상영, 포럼 등 스페셜 프로그램을 운영하고 있습니다. 또한 시민단체, 공공기관, 언론, 국제기구 등 여러 주체가 함께 참여하며, 아시아를 대표하는 성소수자 문화예술 축제로 자리 잡았습니다. 매회 60팀 이상이 참여하고, 누적 5천 명 이상이 방문하는 실내 문화예술 행사로 운영되고 있습니다.

예술가와 관객이 함께 만드는 창작, 신나는 프라이드 놀이터

서울프라이드엑스포는 판매와 전시에 머무르지 않고, 창작자와 관객이 함께 보고 듣고 참여하며 경험을 확장하는 열린 성소수자 문화예술 축제입니다. 창작자 부스와 초청 전시를 중심으로 개·폐막식, 포럼, 작가 강연, 창작극 공연, 영화 상영, 북토크 등 다양한 프로그램을 운영해 왔습니다. 그 결과 누구나 편하게 방문해 취향을 발견하고 새로운 작품과 사람을 만나며 성소수자 문화예술의 현재를 생생하게 체감하는 만남의 장으로 자리해 왔습니다.

안전하고 접근 가능한 실내 축제 운영

서울프라이드엑스포는 장애인 참가자 및 관객을 위한 편의시설을 마련하고, 성소수자와 비성소수자가 평화롭게 연대할 수 있도록 현장에 변호사와 경호업체를

배치해 혐오 행위를 철저히 분리합니다. 이를 통해 모두가 안전하고 편안하게 즐길 수 있는 접근 가능한 실내 문화예술 행사로 운영하고 있습니다.

“Celebrating the Pride of LGBTQ+ Artists and Creators”

▪️ What is SEOUL PRIDE EXPO?

SEOUL PRIDE EXPO is an LGBTQ+ arts and culture fair built on the values of diversity, inclusion, pride, love, equality, and solidarity. First launched in 2015 as PRIDE FAIR at Seoul Citizens Hall, the event has steadily expanded in both scale and scope, later moving to larger venues such as Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).

Today, SEOUL PRIDE EXPO highlights LGBTQ+ artists and creators working across visual arts, publishing, handmade crafts, exhibitions, and other creative fields. Alongside creator booths and exhibitions, the event presents a variety of special programs including performances, film screenings, and forums. Bringing together civil society organizations, public institutions, media outlets, international organizations, and community groups, SEOUL PRIDE EXPO has grown into one of Asia’s leading LGBTQ+ cultural and arts festivals. More than 60 teams participate in each edition, and the event has welcomed over 50,000 visitors cumulatively as a major indoor cultural arts festival.

A Creative Playground Where Artists and Audiences Come Together

SEOUL PRIDE EXPO goes beyond a conventional marketplace or exhibition. It is an open cultural arts festival where creators and audiences engage with one another through shared experiences, dialogue, and participation.

Centered around creator booths and invited exhibitions, the event has hosted a wide range of programs including opening and closing ceremonies, forums, artist talks, theatrical performances, film screenings, and book talks.

Through these programs, visitors discover new interests, encounter emerging artists and works, and experience the vibrancy of contemporary LGBTQ+ arts and culture in an accessible and welcoming environment.

A Safe and Accessible Indoor Festival

SEOUL PRIDE EXPO is committed to creating a safe and accessible environment for all participants. Accessibility facilities are provided for visitors with disabilities, while legal advisors and professional security personnel are present on-site to ensure that LGBTQ+ and non-LGBTQ+ participants can gather in a respectful and welcoming atmosphere free from harassment and hate-based disruptions.

Through these efforts, the Expo continues to operate as an inclusive indoor cultural arts event where everyone can participate safely and comfortably.
